First attempt at shooting lightning. I need a lot of work, but I was pretty pleased with the outcome of my first try to capture lightning! :)

Shining Sun

For as long as I can remember I have taken pictures of sunsets quite often. I have always loved to watch them and marvel at God's creativity and power. These are the ones from tonight. Please excuse the spots in my pictures . . . my sensor is dirty and I can't bear to stay away from my camera until I can get it cleaned. :) 



A Beautiful Ending to a Wonderful Day

Today the desert was blessed with light showers throughout the day. It was so beautiful to watch and enjoy. We don't get enough rain around here.

Soon after the showers ceased, a beautiful rainbow streamed across the sky. I drove down the street to try to get a good shot, but it was too big to capture with the lens I had, but . . . I did capture some pictures of the BEAUTIFUL sunset that followed.

On my way . . .

So my last moon shot was an improvement in the fact that it wasn't overexposed....this time it's another little improvement because it's a little more in focus :) I'm gonna keep tryin until I get it even better! :D It seems I'm learning more and more every day . . .

Second Attempt at Shooting the Moon

Tonight I tried shooting the moon again to see if it would come out any better. I believe it is definitely better! I see more detail and it's not overexposed. I found that I have to really underexpose it.



Dream

These past couple days we have been having beautiful sunsets here in the desert! We often do, but these ones have been exceptionally beautiful! This one here reminds me of a dream.

Yesterday I got a new lens, so these peoples agreed to let me take pictures of them to try out my new lens. They made it a lot of fun!
