Sunsets have always been something I have loved to watch -- they hold much wonder to me. Every night God paints the sky with many different colors, reminding us all of His existence, love, and power. I believe that we have the most beautiful sunsets here in the desert...I suppose it could be that I haven't traveled much, but hey, you have to admit, they are really beautiful. Many places you just can't enjoy the sunsets...I'm mainly speaking of the city. There are many high buildings and pollution in the air, but here in this small town in the desert the air is free. Here are only a few pictures of the sunsets I have captured. I feel that pictures don't even do them justice.

Day in Morongo
One of my greatest passions is photography. I have been taking pictures of nature for several years now. I started off with sunsets because the colors always caught my eye. However, over time I started to see beauty in almost anything outdoors. I often take pictures of what others call weeds, but refuse to call them that...instead, to me they are wild flowers. I tried to take a photography class at our local Jr. college last year but had to soon drop out because I just couldn't understand all the technical stuff. I am now reading my Nikon D60 for Dummies so that I can get to know my camera better and take the class again next spring.
Several people have seen my pictures I have taken and liked them so much they asked me to do either photo shoots of them or someone they know. Having never really taken pictures of people before I felt very insecure about it, so I went with my family to a place nearby where I live so I can practice on them. In these photos you will see my mom and dad and my little sister. But, of course, I had to throw a little bit of nature in there too.

Rain in the Desert
Today was rather beautiful. It was a bit cloudy all day and when I was sitting in my math class this evening I saw rain drops falling just outside the window. I couldn't wait to get out and take some pictures. Although I could not catch the rain falling I caught the richness of colors that the rain leaves behind, along with the parting clouds and the sun beaming through them. Here are just a few pictures I took.
